The Path
The Core Track
The Core Track begins with foundational questions about learning itself. What success means to you, how habits form, how to build agency. Then it moves into music production concepts like sound physics, digital audio, DAW fundamentals, signal flow, and beat construction. These three courses are essential. Everyone completes them first because they establish both your technical foundation and how the Soft Synced learning system works.
What makes it different
Each lesson includes writing prompts that connect technical concepts to what you're actually trying to achieve. You'll notice where confusion shows up and why. You'll run small experiments in your DAW to test what you're learning. And you'll use a physical workbook to think through it all, because real learning happens away from the screen.
This builds two things simultaneously: technical knowledge and self-knowledge. You're not just learning how music production works—you're discovering how your creative process works.
The value
If you're new to production, this builds your foundation while helping you discover your creative process.
If you already know these topics, the value is in gaining deeper clarity on your own creative process—how you actually work, what your workflow needs, and what makes your approach yours.
In a world where AI can generate content that sounds like yours, what becomes valuable is the thinking that only you can do.
The Core Track helps you understand and articulate that thinking.
Extension Courses
After completing the Core Track, you unlock access to an ever-growing library of Extension Courses. These cover both technical topics (mixing, mastering, sound design) and creative development (taste, identity, and creativity).
How Extension Courses unlock
Extension Courses are earned through Depth Credit—a currency you accumulate by engaging deeply with the material. You earn Depth Credit by:
Completing lessons including their workbook exercises
Engaging with the community by sharing your observations and insights
Demonstrating that you've integrated the concepts, not just consumed them
This ensures that you're building capability, not just collecting information. The courses you unlock are the ones you're genuinely ready to engage with.
Why this matters
In traditional education, you can complete every lesson and still feel lost. Soft Synced is designed differently: you progress when you've actually integrated what you're learning. Depth Credit measures integration, not completion.
After Completing the Course Track
After completing the Core Track, you unlock additional courses covering mixing, mastering, sound design, creative development, and more. New courses are added regularly.

This course is where you learn how sound, digital audio, and DAWs fit together. Lessons cover the essentials: what sound is, how audio is represented digitally, how to navigate a DAW, and how to set up a session. Students get a first look at recording, plugins, file management, and the mixer, while also being encouraged to see the DAW as a creative playground. By the end, you will have a clear orientation on your tools and an early sense of confidence in exploring them.
