Core Track

A structured path from first principles to finished tracks.

Three sequential modules, companion guides for every concept, and a physical workbook. One system designed to change how you make decisions as a producer, not just what techniques you know.

How It Works

Built as a sequence, not a content library.

Three formats work together. Each one reinforces the others in a way that passive watching never does.

01
Focused Sessions

Short, contained lessons in the app. Built for attention and repetition, not passive consumption. Each one moves immediately into application. You do not just watch, you do.

Phone App
02
Deliberate Exploration

Every concept has a companion guide in the web portal. This is where the reasoning lives. Deeper breakdowns, real production examples, frameworks you can apply the same day.

Web Portal
03
Physical Reflection

Thinking captured away from the screen. The workbook turns vague instincts into something concrete, decisions you can look back on, analyze, and build from over time.

Physical + Digital Workbook

"Each part alone would teach something. Together, they change how you think."

The Modules

Three modules. One sequence. 30 lessons.

Each module builds on the last. You do not jump between topics, you develop a complete way of thinking about production.

Why Learn Anything
Before touching a DAW, this module asks the more important question: what are you actually trying to make, and why does it matter to you? It defines the foundation everything else builds on.
8 Lessons
Start Here
Looking at what matters in the work before reducing music production to outcomes or external markers.
Where This Can Take You
Exploring the directions music production can open up when the work is taken seriously over time.
What You Actually Need
Breaking down the skills that matter most and separating them from the noise surrounding production.
How You Improve
Understanding progress as something built through process, attention, and repetition rather than talent myths.
Making This Stick
Building habits that support meaningful work without turning the process into empty routine.
Working Through Friction
Learning how to deal with resistance, uncertainty, and discomfort without mistaking them for failure.
Making Your Own Decisions
Developing judgment so creative choices become more deliberate and less dependent on outside validation.
Putting It Together
Bringing the core ideas of the module into a clearer way of working that carries into everything that follows.
02
Module 2
The Setup
Fills the gaps most producers have around environment, tools, and workflow—the fundamentals that often don't get covered in tutorials because they are assumed. Signal flow, monitoring, gain staging, and how to listen like a producer.
15 Lessons

The physics of sound and its relevance to production decisions.
Digital Audio Basics
Sample rate, bit depth, and how digital audio works under the hood.
DAW Interface Fundamentals
Core DAW concepts that apply regardless of which one you use.
Project Setup
How project setup habits affect whether tracks get finished.
Basic Recording Concepts
The fundamentals that make recorded sound cleaner and more usable.
Understanding Tracks
How tracks and channels relate and why the distinction matters.
Understanding The Mixer
The controls that shape balance and level across a mix.
Audio vs MIDI
The difference between the two formats and when each one applies.
Basic Plugin Concepts
How plugins work and where they fit in the signal chain.
In The Box vs Hardware
What software and hardware each offer and how to think about both.
Monitoring & Headphones
Accurate monitoring and its effect on every decision made in a mix.
Gain Staging Basics
Managing signal levels so headroom and clarity stay intact.
Workflow & Creative Process
Moving from idea to finished file without losing momentum.
Listening Like a Producer
Turning everyday listening into a practice that sharpens judgment.
Taste Before Tools
How taste shapes production decisions more than tools do.

Module 3
Beat Making
Ambrus Deak, Ableton Certified Trainer, builds two complete beats from scratch, one laid back, one aimed at the dancefloor. The wrong turns stay in. The revisions stay in. You are developing creative judgment, not copying technique.
7 Lessons
Backbone
Building a minimal rhythmic foundation and knowing when it holds.
Character
Adding texture and personality without breaking the structure.
Weight
How a bass element reshapes groove, balance, and direction.
Context
How harmonic material defines or destabilizes a beat's mood.
Identity
Creating hierarchy and deciding what the beat is really about.
Time
Extending a loop and testing whether the idea develops over time.
Commit
Finalizing, evaluating, and deciding when a beat is done.

From Producers

Real feedback from people working through the system.

This is the first time I'm asking myself questions like this about my music.

Evan Dornbusch

Getting people to do it on paper and read it back is one of the most important aspects of Soft Synced.

Is this a subscription?
No. One payment. Everything is yours to keep, the app access, the guides, the workbook. No recurring fees, no content gates after purchase.
Do I need a specific DAW?
No. The system is DAW-agnostic. The principles apply regardless of platform. You should be comfortable navigating your own software, but that is all that is required.
I'm already producing. Is Core Track for me?
Producers with experience tend to move through the early material quickly, then find the gaps they did not know they had. The system builds a decision-making framework that most producers never develop, regardless of level.
Is the workbook physical or digital?
Both. Core Track includes the full digital PDF at no additional cost, and we initiate delivery of the printed paperback through Amazon once your purchase is confirmed. If Amazon does not ship to your region, the digital version is fully included.
How much time does this take?
The system is designed to integrate into your existing studio practice rather than replace it. Work consistently rather than intensely. It compounds over time.
