One-Line Summary
A three-part music production learning system — phone app, web companion guides, and physical workbook — designed to develop creative identity, not just technical skills.
What It Is
Soft Synced is a structured learning system for music producers who want their music to mean something. It combines a phone app (short, focused micro-lessons), web-based companion guides (deeper breakdowns and applied exercises), and a 180-page physical workbook (reflection, notes, and hands-on experiments).
The Core Track includes three courses:
Course 1: Why Learn Anything? — A framework for defining success, building focus, and understanding what drives your creative decisions. This isn't motivational content — it's the orientation that determines which skills matter most to each individual learner.
Course 2: The Setup — First principles of sound: physics, signal flow, monitoring, and digital audio. Interactive tools and visualization aids help learners see past the interface and understand the mechanics underneath.
Course 3: Beat Making — A repeatable framework for building music from the ground up. Layer-by-layer process from rhythmic foundation to arrangement and export. Focused on decision-making and finishing skills.
What Makes It Different
Most music production education teaches tools. Soft Synced starts with a different question: knowing how to use your tools is important, but it's not what makes you an artist. Just as knowing Microsoft Word doesn't make you an author with a story to tell.
The system is built around creative decision-making, not software tutorials. Every lesson follows a four-part structure: Core Ideas, Your Turn (applied exercises), Notes & Friction Log (tracking confusion and resistance), and Applied Experiment (one real action in the DAW).
The physical workbook opens with a Success Snapshot — where you are now and what success means to you — and closes with a Revision section where you revisit those answers after completing the work. The arc between those two pages is the point.
Philosophy: Learn Music. Stay Human.
Understanding over collecting
Attention over distraction
Depth over speed
A creative practice that strengthens over time

About the Founder
Ambrus Deak is an Ableton Certified Trainer with over 25 years of music production experience. He ran the Music Production program at the Los Angeles Film School for eight years and founded imPro School of Music Technology in Budapest. He is also a touring electronic music producer who performs and releases music under the name AMB Music, with multiple awards including Fonogram Music Awards (Hungary's equivalent of the Grammy).
Soft Synced was built from everything he learned across decades of making and teaching music — the recurring gaps he saw in how producers develop, and the conviction that creative identity is a skill that can be practiced, not just something you either have or don't.
